Prairie Dog Central Railway
Prairie Dog Central's restored wooden coaches are pulled by one of two vintage locomotives, an 1882 steam engine or a 1952 vintage diesel. The 2.5 hour journey takes you through the serenity of the vast prairie landscape. Prepare to be tantalized by the many colours of the landscape as you travel across farmland, golden fields and tall prairie grasses dotted with small rural communities.

Archibald Historical Museum
The former La Rivière Canadian Pacific Railway station is part of the museums display. This heritage side is the only remaining station in Manitoba with a Mansard roof. On display there are numerous new railway displays, including a 1913 caboose.

Location: La Rivière is located 132 Km Northwest of Winnipeg.

Argyle Prairie Museum
The museum boosts one of the only boxcar railway stations on display in a museum collection. The station is alongside the original rails, signs and equipment.

Location: The Rural Municipality of Argyle is located in south western Manitoba, almost equal distance from Brandon and Portage la Prairie.

Beautiful Plains Museum
The museum is housed in the former Canadian Northern Railway station, built in 1902. The railway display portrays the story of the past when the station was still in service.

Location: Neepawa is 45 minutes by vehicle from Brandon and 2 hours from Winnipeg.

Flin Flon Station Museum
The former CN station, built in 1934 houses the museum in downtown Flin Flon. The railway display includes a Plymouth locomotive, a caboose and a maintenance-of-way sweeper, all were used by the Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Company, as well as a CN ore car.

Location: Flin Flon is located on the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border, just over 740 Km of Winnipeg.

Fort La Reine Museum
The railway display hosts the 1882 CPR business car that acted as the mobile office and sleeping facility for the General Manager of CPR at that time. During the final construction of the CPR track, Prime Minister Sir John A. MacDonald was a frequent guest on board the car. A railway caboose, superintendent's car, Corbett's railroad crossing and several other railroad maintenance vehicles finish off the display.

Location: Portage la Prairie is 84 km west of Winnipeg on Highway 1 in Central Manitoba.

Inglis Area Heritage Inc.
This heritage organization is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Inglis grain elevators located in Manitoba, Canada.

Location: The Community of Inglis is located in Shellmouth-Boulton. The Rural Municipality of Shellmouth-Boulton is located in western Manitoba and sits adjacent to the Saskatchewan Border.

Manitoba Agriculture Museum
Until the station was moved to the museum's location in 1975, it served the community of Baldur, Manitoba. The museum's collection includes a caboose, once operated on the Burlington section of the rails and a boxcar from 1913.

Manitoba Children's Museum
The Manitoba Children's Museum has an authentic 1952 diesel train engine and a 1910 passenger coach on display inside the building. Miami Station
Built in 1892, this is one of the oldest station left in Southern Manitoba. The station has been the location for several movies and commercials. Next time you see a train station on a commercial look closely because it may be this one!

Location: Miami is about 70 minutes southwest of Winnipeg.

Transcona Historical Museum
Railway artifacts from the Grand Trunk Pacific, National Transcontinental, Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway are all included in the display. The collection varies with artifacts related to passenger service, freight transportation and repair shop theory and practice. This collection also contains several rare CNR and railway manuals.
